Forest & Bird Tauranga Branch warmly invites you to a talk about KEEP: Kokako Ecosystem Expansion Program.
Following almost 50 years of monitoring, research and pest management, kokako populations are making a comeback in some Western Bay of Plenty forests. The birds are dispersing into nearby areas and now a bold plan called KEEP aims to enhance their spread by linking these habitats.
Emma Cronin, program manager, will explain what this project is about, why it is needed and our responsibility for action.
The brief Branch F&B AGM will follow Emma’s talk, and then supper will be provided.
